CENTENNIAL PARK
A LITTLE BIT ABOUT ITS HISTORY
Nashville's moniker, the "Athens of the South," influenced the choice of the building for the 1897 Centennial Exposition. The Parthenon was the only exact replica of the original building in Athens, Greece.
The park has continued to focus on its place in the art world of Nashville and is host to many incredible events each year. The American Artisan Festival has built its history and legacy in this park for more than 40 years. They are synonymous.
